WVU December Convocation date changed
To better accommodate the families of West Virginia University students participating in the December graduation ceremonies, officials have announced a date change for the event.
The December 2008 Convocation will now take place at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, December 14 at the WVU Coliseum.
The event was moved to avoid logistical conflicts with a WVU home football game that may have created issues with accommodations, traffic and parking in Morgantown.
Guests planning to attend the Convocation ceremony should consider making hotel reservations as soon as possible as hotels in the area will still be in high demand.
The WVU Visitors Resource Center Web site provides information about area hotels, motels, and campgrounds can be found at: http://visit.wvu.edu/directions.htm
The December Convocation event is open to the public and tickets are not required. The WVU Coliseum provides ample seating capacity for the event so family and friends are encouraged to attend.
Additional details regarding December convocation will be released at a later date.
